Trip to New Orleans

We took a trip to New Orleans to see the holiday sights. This is an old building near the French Market with decorated balconies. I loved the Christmas trees in different colors. They were beautiful.

The French Market is a place you can buy lots of items from local artists and vendors. These masks and beads were very festive and colorful. I enjoyed looking at all the pretty things.

I saw some really colorful dream catchers. This one had rainbow colors and was so pretty. I have some dream catchers in my bedroom. My mom has made me some and I am learning how to make dream catchers too.

Another thing at the French Market is Voodoo Dolls. This table had many different character dolls. I like the Hello Kitty and Grogu, or Baby Yoda. There were many Voodoo Dolls.

In the French Quarter is the Saint Louis Cathedral. It is a very important place in New Orleans and has much history. It is so beautiful. You can read more about it at this link:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Louis_Cathedral_(New_Orleans)

Here is the statue of Andrew Jackson at Jackson Square in front of the Saint Louis Cathedral. He is on a horse and looks like he is going to battle. The quote underneath says “The Union must and shall be preserved.”

Here is a New Orleans street car. These run all over the city and people take them for transportation. They are all red and very easy to recognize.

We walked to the Mississippi River and looked out at the bridge. It was a beautiful day. We plan to visit New Orleans again soon.
